Community Fund Launched For VE Day 80th Anniversary
A special community fund has been launched by Northumberland County Council to help communities across the county to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
The 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day will be commemorated nationally on 8 May 2025 and NCC have set up its VE 80 fund to help local communities with the cost of organising events to mark this historic anniversary.
Grants of up to £250 are available and the application process is straightforward. Open for non profit organisations, schools, churches and local charities.
The fund is open now through to Friday 21 February or until all of the funds are allocated.
Applications will be considered on a first come first served basis.
