£1000 donation to Wansbeck Valley Food Bank

Deputy Mayor Lynn Burns, a regular volunteer at Wansbeck Valley Food Bank,  presented the charity with a donation on behalf of the Town Council. Wansbeck Valley Food Bank was set up to prevent and/or relieve poverty or financial hardship by providing food parcels to those in need.

Cllr Burns stated ‘the Food Bank is a much needed resource that offers comfort and support to those who are in the most need within our community’.

Mrs Fugill thanked the Town Council for their continued support extending an invitation to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor to visit the Food Bank warehouse to learn more about the essential work the charity volunteers are providing.
