ESCAPE Family Support Grant
At a meeting of the Finance & HR Committee held in July 2026, members considered a grant request from ESCAPE Family Support. Members unanimously agreed to the request of £1,500. This funding will contribute to training for volunteers and service users.
Cllr Jan Casey, Chair of Newbiggin by the Sea, had the pleasure of presenting the cheque on behalf of Newbiggin Town Council.
Escape Family Support offer confidential, tailored services for carers and families affected by drug and alcohol abuse. Their support includes a 24/7 Helpline, Crisis Support, One-to-One sessions, Counselling, Bereavement Support, Court/Prison Support, Family Therapy.
Newbiggin Town Council are honoured to support an organisation making such a positive impact.
