THIS SATURDAY IN NEWBIGGIN!

The biggest, red-dressed, most joyful event of the summer is almost here! On Saturday 25th July, the promenade is coming alive for The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever & Picnic on the Prom!
Whether you’re planning to dance up a storm or cheer us on with a picnic basket, we can’t wait to bring the town together.

A massive shout-out to everyone who came along to our free dance sessions over the past few weeks! What a brilliant turnout we had—the room was packed, the energy was incredible, and you’re all looking fantastic. You are going to blow everyone away on Saturday, come rain or shine!

WUTHERING EVENT GUIDE: PARKING & ESSENTIALS FOR THE DAY!

Car Parks and Public Toilets
We want everyone to have the absolute best (and safest!) day on the promenade for The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever (Sat 25th July). Here is all the practical info you need to plan your visit:
FREE Parking Across Newbiggin
Visiting us from further afield? Good news, parking in Newbiggin is completely FREE!
You can park in any of our public car parks, including:
  • Temporary Overflow Car Park Free – Newbiggin Sports and Community hub (NE64 6HG)
  • Church Point Car Park- Maritime Centre (NE64 6DB)
  • Wilkie Terrace Car Park – Back of Glentons (NE64 6AA)
  • New King Street Car Park (NE64 6BD)
  • Spital Point Car Park (NE64 6XQ)
Tip: Spaces will fill up fast on the day, so please arrive early or pop in on public transport if you can!
Public Toilets &  Water Fountain Locations
Staying hydrated and comfortable is key (especially if you’re dancing!):
Public Toilets: located on the map with signs out on the day.
Water Refill Station: There is a free public drinking water fountain located directly on the promenade—don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle to top up throughout the day! Located on the map.
IMPORTANT: STRICT NO GLASS POLICY
To keep the promenade, beach, and bare feet completely safe for dancers, families, and pets: NO GLASS IS PERMITTED ON THE PROMENADE. Please pack your picnic drinks in anything but glass. Anyone using glass bottles or glassware on the promenade will be politely asked to remove it immediately.
