Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, get ready! On Saturday 25th July 2026, our promenade is transforming into a magnificent sea of red for The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever. Whether you are channeling your inner Kate Bush on the performance floor or spreading out a blanket for a coastal feast, you are at the very heart of the action.

With music provided by Koast Radio, we are lining Northumberland’s longest promenade with a massive, vibrant wall of community joy.

Free Community Dance Sessions

Got the urge to join the sea of red? Don’t be shy! We are running 3 FREE, relaxed dance sessions to help you learn the iconic moves.

  • No pressure, no experience needed.

  • You don’t even have to stay for the full hour—just pop in, learn a step or two, and have some fun!

  • You can even do these routines completely sitting down!

  • Please remember to bring a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated.

Session 1: Rehearsal Kick-Off
Tuesday 30th June at 1:30 PM

Location: Newbiggin Community Hub

Come down for our very first relaxed practice run.

Session 2: Evening Practice
Thursday 2nd July at 6:00 PM

Location: St Bartholomew’s Church Centre

Perfect for anyone looking to drop in after the working day.

Session 3: Final Dress Rehearsal

The Most Wuthering Picnic & Table Bookings

If running up that hill (or dancing on the prom) isn’t your thing, your mission is just as vital: we need your community spirit! Pack a red blanket, tie a red ribbon to your hamper, or wear a splash of red to show your Newbiggin pride.

Official Event Schedule: Saturday 25th July

Plan your day on the promenade with our official itinerary.

1.The Gathering & Setup:from 10:30 – 11:30 am.

The promenade begins transforming. Picnic table ticket holders can arrive to set up their hampers, layout their red blankets, and decorate their tables with red ribbons.

2.Koast Radio Goes Live:11 am.

Koast Radio hits the airwaves directly from the promenade, broadcasting music, announcements, and pumping up the atmosphere.

3.Aerial Kate Bush Tribute Singer :12 pm for approx. 30 mins
4.The Spectacular Mass Dance:1:30 pm.

The main event! Dancers assemble in a massive sea of red floaty attire to recreate the iconic Kate Bush “Wuthering Heights” choreography down the promenade.

5.The Most Wuthering Picnic Continues: Event concludes at 3pm.

Celebrate a job well done! Stay on the prom, devour your local takeaways, enjoy the music, and soak up Northumberland’s finest community spirit until 3pm.
