NOTICE OF ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

FOR NEWBIGGIN BY THE SEA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT-

The Annual Assembly of the Parish Meeting for Newbiggin by the Sea will be held at St Bartholomew’s Church Centre on Wednesday 27th May at 18:00

Local Government electors for the Town (residents who have registered to vote) will be entitled to speak and vote at the Meeting, which will be open to the public.

The business to be transacted at the Meeting will be as follows: –

1. Minutes of the last Annual Meeting – 21st May 2025
To accept the minutes of the last Annual meeting and sign as an accurate record

2. Report of the Chair/Town Mayor
Town Council Chair Jan Casey will provide a brief report on the activities of the Town Council from 2025-26

3. Open Forum
To receive questions and comments from Electors. This Forum to last no longer than 20 minutes. Questions may be submitted in advance to the Town Clerk by emailing – Ask@newbiggintowncouncil.gov.uk

4. Community Organisations and Grant Recipient Reports:
The Town Council has invited representatives from local groups, clubs and organisations to speak. Representatives will give a report on activities over the past year and share their plans.

Note on questions:
To ensure we can provide the most helpful and accurate information, residents are encouraged to submit questions in writing to the Town Clerk by 20th May 2026. While questions from the floor are welcome, please note that complex matters may require research, and a full answer may need to be provided in writing following the meeting.
