Community Update – Playzone near Newbiggin Community & Sports Hub
We would like to provide a further update regarding the Playzone facility.
Recent issues with the floodlighting and connectivity have now been resolved, and we were in the process of arranging an official opening date while awaiting the installation of final signage.
Unfortunately, we have now discovered that the Playzone has been subject to vandalism. As a result, the facility will need to be temporarily closed until the damaged equipment can be repaired or replaced. Although the Playzone had not yet officially opened, we are aware that children had been able to access the area; however, for safety reasons, the site must remain closed until the necessary works are completed.
We understand this will be disappointing and appreciate the community’s patience while we source the required replacement parts and carry out repairs. A further update will be provided as soon as a reopening date can be confirmed.
