Supporting our Community Spaces
On 19th November 2025, during the Finance and HR Committee meeting, Newbiggin Town Council approved a £300 grant for the Newbiggin Community Gardens & Workshop at Elizabethan Hall.
This funding will go towards purchasing 40 bags of compost to refresh the raised beds and plants outside.
Cllr Gwen Woodman, Chair of Newbiggin by the Sea, visited Elizabethan Hall to present a large cheque and show support for the fantastic work being done there.
Elizabethan Hall is a safe and welcoming space for the whole community — offering sessions for different groups, a warm space, and a Pop-Up Food Shop.
There’s always something happening at Elizabethan Hall, and Newbiggin Town Council is proud to support all that they do for our community.
