Supporting Newbiggin Learning Hive
Supporting Our Community: Newbiggin Learning Hive Grant On 19th November 2025, during the Finance and HR Committee meeting, Newbiggin Town Council approved a £300 grant for Newbiggin Learning Hive. This funding will replace damaged tables in the training/meeting room upstairs — a vital space used for wellbeing sessions, functional skills training, employability support, drop-in events, and multi-agency meetings that benefit local residents. It has also contributed towards a new filing cabinet to support the Hive’s day-to-day operations.
On 19th January 2026, Cllr Gwen Woodman, Chair of Newbiggin by the Sea, visited the Learning Hive to present a large cheque.
Newbiggin Town Council is proud to support such a fantastic organisation that continues to make a real difference in the lives of local people.
