Newbiggin Town Council Annual Grant Scheme
Newbiggin Town Council has an annual grant scheme to support community groups and organisations within our Parish and have budgeted a total of £8000 for large grants (requests for up to £2000) and £5000 for small grants (requests for up to £300) for this financial year.
We consider grants four times per year at the meetings of the Finance and HR Committee.
In July this year at the Finance and HR Committee meeting, it was agreed for funding to a local sports individual to helps with costs to travel for World Championships, RNLI for Lifeboat Day, ESCAPE to help with costs for families they support in Newbiggin, Newbiggin WI to help with costs for refurbishment and repair of the WI hall and finally Newbiggin Bowling Club to purchase a Defibrillator and water boiler.
