Annual Blessing of the Boat Ceremony

RNLI Newbiggin Lifeboat Station invite you to their Annual Blessing of the Boat Ceremony.

This beloved yearly event is a chance to honour the dedication of our RNLI volunteers and the vital work they do to keep our waters safe.
This year, the Atlantic 85 lifeboat ‘Richard Wake Burdon’ will be blessed alongside Newbiggin Community Rowing Club’s skiff ‘Bella Arkle’, a wooden rowing skiff named after a local RNLI legend.
Newbiggin Salvation Army Brass Band will be providing musical accompaniment!
