New Councillor – Jan Casey

Introducing and welcoming Jan Casey, your new Town Councillor for Newbiggin North Ward.

Jan is retired but has formerly been the Secretary to the Lord Mayor of Newcastle and a PA to a Member of Parliament. She is a volunteer at NSECH and Newbiggin Arts Centre.

Jan enjoys walking with her dog and is an avid crafter, both of these activities have allowed her to connect with new friends and keep up to date with current local affairs.

Jan is interested in giving back to the local community and the need for improved tourism infrastructure.

Jan was co-opted onto the Council at the meeting held 8th November 2023
