Notice of Vacancy for the Office of Councillor – North Ward
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a casual vacancy has occurred in the office of Councillor for the North Ward of Newbiggin by the Sea following vacation of office due to failure to attend meetings by Councillor Sian Darbyshire.
In order for a by-election to be held, 10 electors from the Parish (Ward), must make such a request in writing, within 14 days of the date of this notice, (not including
Saturdays and Sundays and Dies Non), to the Returning Officer.
If notice in writing is not forthcoming from 10 electors, then the existing Town Council may then fill the vacancy by co-option.
