Play Areas Re-open

The Town Council after careful consideration of both the guidance and expectation of the public, has decided to re-open all of the play areas it manages.

We must all remember though that Coronavirus is still with us and consequently users must use the facilities responsibly by:

  • adhering to the Government guidelines on Social Distancing and try and stay at least 2 metres apart
  • not taking part in any type of social gathering
  • washing your hands or using your own hand sanitiser before and after visiting play areas
  • not using the play area if it is already busy
  • using the bins provided to dispose of your rubbish or take it home if the bins are full; and
  • not visiting play areas if anyone in your family is unwell

The Town Council will continue to carry out regular inspections and safety checks of all play areas and will monitor compliance with the guidance issued. Please note however that equipment is not routinely cleansed.

Have fun, enjoy the facilities and play safely.

You can report issues to us by ringing 01670 851833 Monday to Friday or by emailing ask@newbiggintowncouncil.gov.uk
