Mark your calendars for the Annual Blessing of the Boat hosted by RNLI Newbiggin Lifeboat Station! A cherished tradition spanning over 200 years.
Date: Sunday, 5th July 2026
Time: 3pm – 4pm
Location: Newbiggin RNLI, Lifeboat Station, Sandridge, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, NE64 6DX
This beloved yearly event is a chance to honour the dedication of our RNLI volunteers and the vital work they do to keep our waters safe.
Newbiggin-by-the-Sea Rowing Club “Bella Arkle” will also be blessed. With musical accompaniment by Newbiggin Salvation Army Brass Band!
Everyone is welcome.
