Join Space for Shorebirds wildlife rangers for a two-hour guided walk along the shore at East Sea Sands – an incredibly special site for a large variety of different shorebird species.

We will meet at 10am outside Newbiggin Maritime Centre, who have kindly provided hot drinks vouchers for after the walk. From there we will head along the shore towards Beacon Point, taking our time to watch the wildlife we see along the way. By this time spring migration will be well underway, so we never know what exciting things we might see!

No prior knowledge is required, and during the event we will discuss why Newbiggin is so important for shorebirds, as well as talk you though some of the common wader species and give tips on how to identify them. Please use the form below to book your place:
