Join the Space for Shorebirds team at Newbiggin for a two-hour guided walk along East Sea Sands – one of the most important places for shorebirds in Northumberland and a great place to see a large variety of different species.

They will meet at Church Point car park at 10am, and head north along the shore towards Beacon Point, taking  time to watch the wildlife encountered along the way.

No prior knowledge is required, and during the event discussion will take place as to why Newbiggin is so important for shorebirds, as tips will be given on how to identify them. After the walk, hot drinks vouchers will kindly be provided by Newbiggin Maritime Centre.
