The Sports Development Team are hosting a coffee drop-in at Newbiggin Sports & Community Hub this Thursday 12th January 12noon – 2pm where the community can share their thoughts and feedback on sport and physical activity for adults in Newbiggin.
This will form part of a larger community engagement exercise to look into the feasibility and demand for expanding the ‘Get Onside’ programme into Newbiggin (formerly known as Active Through football). The ambition of the programme is to increase activity levels and creating lasting behaviour change in people aged 16+ from lower socio-economic groups (LSEG). This coffee-morning will be specifically focussed on the viability of creating a very low-cost physical activity session to compliment the Hub’s status as a ‘Warm Space’ by providing something engaging to do whilst there.
