This is a fully supported practical session utilising your skills, working on up-cycling and renewing the furniture.
Spital Estate Community Association (SECA) is ready to pilot its Acorn project, based in The Elizabethan Hall in Newbiggin by the Sea. This project, funded by Awards For All, seeks to work with local residents in three different ways:
To encourage residents to learn new skills such as practical and creative expertise, increasing confidence and planning skills, IT and eCommerce;
To address issues of loneliness and isolation;
To provide a framework of encouragement in order to help residents move further towards the job market.
