Acting Town Clerk

The Town Council has welcomed Gillian Turner to our team. Gillian has been appointed as Acting Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer for a 6-month period to cover the maternity leave of the Town Clerk. She joined the team on 1st March.

Gillian is a qualified Clerk with over 18 years experience in the sector; she is the Clerk to Longhorsely Parish Council and was the former Town Clerk to Morpeth Town Council, and also the former Principal Accountant to Northumberland County Council.

Gillian is fairy local and well known by many and is looking forward to working with the Newbiggin community over the next 6 months.
