Proposed new bus shelter

Following requests from Members of the public, the Town Council are proposing to erect a  2 bay cantilever bus shelter (as pictured below) at the existing bus stop adjacent to Bank House Club and have been given authorisation to do so by Northumberland County Council.

Due to the proximity to the coast this well used bus stop is extremely exposed in harsh weather conditions and the provision of an enclosed shelter would afford the passengers shelter from both prevailing winds and rain.

The future maintenance of the bus shelter would be the responsibility of Newbiggin by the Sea Town Council.

The Town Council welcome your feedback on this proposal.  All feedback should be provided by Friday 30th May 2019.
